The Pokemon Company just did a surprise release of their new game for iOS called Pokemon Duel. No, it’s not any of the classic Pokemon games that you used to play on your Nintendo DS or Game Boy Advance. Pokemon Duel is a board game that uses some of your favorite Pokemon characters built into a deck so you can get matched with real players (anywhere in the world) and try to get to your opponent’s goal first.
I just downloaded the game, and surprisingly it didn’t crash like Super Mario Run or Pokemon Go on my jailbroken device. One thing that I noticed was the sound, and sometimes video would not display properly. This doesn’t happen very often, but it kind of ruins my experience, though.
If you are having any issues with Pokémon Duel such as the game not working correctly, some features aren’t functioning the way they supposed to, there is a button that you can press to resolve the problem quickly.
How to Clear Cache in Pokémon Duel
When Pokémon Duel is launched, you will see an option called Clear Cache right under the Tap Screen button. Tap on it, and it will do the following:
- Fix any issues with the sound and/or video. Only recommended when one of these features are not displaying properly when you’re playing the game or at launch
- Try to guarantee a strong signal when downloading the game. We all know it takes awhile everytime Pokémon Duel is being opened.
When you select “Clear Cache” the game will restart, and the “Downloading…” screen will appear again. Just wait for all the contents to be downloaded and you should be good to go.
Besides that, there aren’t too many minor or major problems with the new Pokémon Duel game on iPhone. I really like the background music as well as the gameplay. Again, you will be matched with a real-time player, not a bot so get your competitiveness on.
