Many of you have heard and experienced the ‘effective power’ text bug found on many iOS devices months ago. Well, there is another crashing bug, but this time it’s in our stock Safari browser.
Unlike the crashing text bug, in order to make your Safari crash, someone will have to make you go to a website called CrashSafari. This webpage will then start loading endless scripts and then put your browser into confusion mode due to too many requests at the same time.
As a result, it crash and then reboot your iPhone. Both of these bugs do have something in common, though, besides the fact that they are annoying and crash your iPhone. We can definitely prevent your Safari from crashing.
A developer from r/Jailbreak Reddit recently released a new jailbreak tweak called StopCrashingSafari that help you prevents the CrashSafari website from loading. This does not require internet connection to be off.
How to Stop Safari from Crashing on iPhone
- Open up your Cydia, go to Sources, and then Edit
- Add the following repository: https://repo.aditkamath.com/

Once you get the tweak to installed on your iPhone, launch Safari, and go to CrashSafari.com.
Noticed now the entire page doesn’t even load. Specifically, it will say “Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server.”
This is a pretty cool tweak isn’t it. Now you can rest ensure that your iPhone’s Safari browser doesn’t crash every time someone try to pull a prank on you.
