RecBoot is a free software for Mac and Windows that allows you to put your iPhone in Recovery Mode. We’ve talked about this before with ReiBoot, a similar utility from Tenorshare.
When jailbreaking an iOS device, downgrade to another firmware, or do anything technical with your iPhone or iPad, many people usually end up breaking their device. There aren’t rare cases where users have to restore their iOS device from iTunes and lose all their data.
The same result could show up if your don’t know how to get out of recovery mode. However, if an iPhone is not responding, shows a blank or black screen, then it’s important that you put it into Recovery Mode in order to fix the issue. We can do so with the help of RecBoot.
This utility is especially useful for those of you who want to put an iPhone in recovery mode without the power or home buttons. In addition to that, users don’t have to learn the technical steps to putting their device in this mode manually.
RecBoot can handle the job nice and smoothly. This software features a simple interface, compatible with Windows and Mac operating systems, can also help you exit recovery mode after, and fix 1015 Restore from iTunes.
How to Enter Recovery Mode using RecBoot
Step 2: Once downloaded and installed, open the software
Step 3: You will only see two options: Enter Recovery Mode (on the left) and Exit Recovery Mode (on the right)
Step 4: Connect your iPhone or iPad to the computer and perform the action
As you can see, it’s just plain English and limited options to choose from. If your iPhone is experiencing a black screen or not responding at all, put it in recovery mode.
Once the device is turned off and in recovery mode, you will then kick it out by selecting the other option. You should not be getting any errors from this tool as it has come a long way to become a stable release.
In the past, many users would be required to install LibUSB but now that is not a problem anymore. All your computer need is Java SE Runtime, iTunes, and OS X 10.5.X or later (for Mac users).
