Who wouldn’t want to see nearby creatures directly in Pokemon Go?
You can argue that there is a built-in feature that enables players to know when they come across a Pokemon. But how often does it work for you, though?
Furthermore, a lot of people have been using an additional app like Poke Radar to help them complete their collection even faster. Poke Radar display where to find and catch Pokemon that you haven’t seen yet. Thus, helping you avoid catching the same Pokémon over and over again.
While the application is useful and has become my primary assistant, I’ve always wished for an expanded map with locations of Pokemon right inside the official game. This is when PokeMap becomes your handy man.
Released by developer @Ziph0n, PokeMap tweak will let you find nearby Pokemon directly in the game, without having to download extra apps from the App Store.
Furthermore, its built-in map will also offer search feature.
How to Install PokeMap and Start Using the Improved Pokemon Go map
PokeMap is now available on Ziph0n’s Cydia source. Before following the instructions below, I need you to get this tweak first so that the game doesn’t know your device was jailbroken.
Step 1: Go to Cydia and wait for its sources to reload
Step 2: Switch to the Manage tab and add http://repo.ziph0n.com/
Step 3: Look for PokeMap > Install > and Respring
Launch the Pokemon Go app and there should be a new map button for you to use. Poke Map provide location of different Pokemons as well as displaying nearby Pokemon directly to you.
The only downside is that your iPhone must be jailbroken. If you can’t jailbreak your iOS device yet, I suggest going with either a realtime web-based map or use Poke Radar, for now.
- Bye Bye ugly marker icon, welcome little button: (looks nice with PokemonGoAnywhere)
- Added a reload button
Don’t have a jailbroken iPhone?
No worries! There is a new app on the App Store called PokeWhere that provides real-time data for Pokemon Go.
PokeWhere is an app that shows the location and despawn time of Pokemon nearby so you can make sure you never miss out on catching rare Pokemon.
The only problem is that it’s not built right in the game like the PokeMap that we mentioned above. But hey, at least you don’t need a computer right?
You can download PokeWhere for free here.
It’s about time the developer of PokemonGoAnywhere tweak released another fantastic app for Pokemon Go. This one is a little bit different. You don’t need to have a jailbroken device.
